The traditional clothing of Korea is called hanbok. Koreans in the old days loved wearing white clothes that they were given a nickname, the white-clad race. However, they also enjoyed wearing various and colorful hanboks for different occasions and wore a hat that went with the outfit. Hanbok for men included a pair of pants and a top, and hanbok for women included a skirt and a top. Since Korea had distinct four seasons, it was important to make clothing for each season. In particularly, Koreans used different fabrics to cope with the extreme weather in the summer and the winter, and this helped developing their clothing culture.
